TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following duties: Applying regulations that affect the packaging and transport of hazardous materials and equipment to ensure safe and compliant shipping. Offering alternative transportation methods, such as air and water freight, to provide customers with viable shipping options for long-distance or international movement outside the continental United States. Monitoring performance reports and customer survey results to provide management with summary statistics and key indicators, including proof of delivery timeframes and document errors, to meet transportation office objectives. You will provide advisory services to operating program managers on transportation program requirements, capabilities, policies and procedures
You will analyze and evaluate effectiveness of shipment and transportation programs involving mate1fal and/or passengers and recommend alternative strategies to improve efficiency and economy of operations
You will analyze trends in transportation operations and the impact which new programs/systems have on existing operations and procedures
You will determine data requirements and make recommendations for the automation of transportation administrative operations and systems
