I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of Information Technology services; 2) Assessing the effectiveness of new or evolving IT security concepts, standards, and methods; 3) Interpreting cyber security mandates and directives to determine impact on programs, to include acquisition, implementation, coordination, and management activities; 4) Providing guidance to leadership, operational staff, and customers that enables a secure and available IT infrastructure and Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) capabilities; and 5) Ensuring the integration of IT programs and services for compliance to IT policies and procedures. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
You will review IS and IT programs to assess overall compliance with plans and policies and alignment with business and operational requirements.
You will interpret laws, regulations and policies to effect good business decisions and successful project execution.
You will plan, establish, and maintain cognizance of the IS and IT budgets for the AOR which is comprised of multiple funding streams and covers multiple categories of expenditure.
You will represent the CIO in official matters and covers grade-appropriate responsibilities of the CIO Support Line in the CIO's absence.
You will support the NAVFAC CIO with developing and implementing policies and procedures.
