To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/28/2026. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: performing both clerical and clinical duties in a medical/healthcare environment; answering and directing phone calls; scheduling appointments; documenting medical records; taking and recording vital signs; and collecting and labeling specimens. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed half a year of graduate education (usually 9 semester hours) that is directly related to the work of this position. One full year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the one year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. Transcripts required. OR, Combination of Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond . Must have equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience to meet total qualification requirements. Note: One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that number cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered an academic year of graduate study. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies and equipment and other items. The work requires above average agility and dexterity. The work may require assistance in moving or in lifting wheelchair patients. Duties include but not limited to: Provide administrative support to the PMRS programming to include Amputee Care, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Musculoskeletal Injections, Low ADL Monitoring Program (LAMP), Chiropractic services, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. For example, support Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (m TBI) program by administering and assisting in the collection of data from standardized testing. Provide audio/visual assistance to rehabilitation programming, such as assisting with telehealth appointments. Assist in the logistical organization of PMRS as assigned. Examples include TBI clinics, EMG, Injections, rehabilitation clinics such as power mobility, amputee or clinical orthotics & prosthetics. Serve as the point of contact (POC) for issues related to My Healthy Vet programming and monitor clinical response team to patient requests via secure messaging. Assists with procedures as needed and directed by facilitating clinician. Return patient inquiries, address patient requests and concerns (In person, phone calls, myhealthevet messages; PATS-Rs) and document in the computerized patient record system. Assist with environment of care rounds in the assigned location/discipline to ensure patient safety and infection control standards are being met. Administer pre-evaluation screen and outcome measures prior to staff evaluation to include vitals and/or documentation needed for appointments. Maintains general care of all equipment utilized in the assigned PMRS clinics, keeping examination & procedure rooms clean and stocked; assists with equipment inventory list on an annual basis. Utilizes computer based electronic patient medical records, manages communication and correspondences related to patient medical records requests from community providers and care delivery communications from within the PMRS to include TEAMs channels/chats and communication between other services to include MAS.
