Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and applying explosives safety, practices, procedures, laws, regulations and policies to carry out an explosives safety program; 2) Determining causal factors contributing to mishaps and/or hazardous working conditions and developing corrective action; 3) Inspecting facilities to determine compliance with standard operating practices and locate potential areas for mishaps; and 4) Developing and/or conducting detailed explosives safety training. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will provide direct oversight compliance of the OPNAV mandated Explosive Safety Program.
You will develop and conduct regional/local ammunition and explosives safety training.
You will inspect and monitor AE facilities, piers, holding areas, combat aircraft loading areas and ranges.
You will analyze AE safety gaps/deficiencies, develop clarifying guidance to higher level instructions and review construction design proposals for ammunition and explosives safety compliance.
You will represent region at numerous ammunition and explosives safety meetings, prepare correspondence, as well as maintain personnel expertise in AE field.
