ITSPEC (INFOSEC)

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Experience in assisting and creating system security vulnerability reviews; AND - Experience assisting with the analysis of equipment and software performance data to develop, execute, and refine test plans, ensuring designs meet security requirements; AND - Experience providing technical assistance with risk management, security, and contingency planning for local area network (LAN) infrastructure, servers and workstations. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. As a/an ITSPEC (INFOSEC), you will: Study new equipment and software performance data to develop and/or modify test plans, conduct tests and analyze test results to develop or design equipment to meet security requirements. Maintain or restore operations, while safeguarding evidence. Serve as technical specialist for risk management, security, and contingency planning for local area network (LAN) infrastructure, servers and workstation in assigned areas. Work with senior specialists to provide advice and mitigation assistance in connection with one or more specific technologies associated with computer and network security operations.
