This position has a selective placement factor which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Overseeing/managing water and waste water operations; 2) Applying knowledge of national water and waste water codes as they relate to water and waste water production, transmission and distribution systems; 3) Establishing design guidelines for water and waste water production, transmission and distribution systems and equipment; 4) Applying knowledge of civil engineering principles to assess performance standards and trends for water and waste water commodities; and 5) Assisting in the development of relevant budgets and operating plans. You will serve as the lead engineer for water and waste water production, transmission and distribution systems for NAVFAC Southeast's area of responsibility.
You will develop engineering project scopes to ensure projects are justifiable and support the mission and operational requirements of the command.
You will analyze new or current processes to identify potential problems and recommend solutions
You will investigate process improvement opportunities to make recommendations for enhancements in utilities management.
