Data Scientist/AI Intern

Applicants will be considered based on their knowledge, skills or abilities related to project needs. Specifically, applicants should have experience in: Python R Git SAS Basic statistics Data Processing

The duties of this internship may include, but are not limited to:
Create well-documented prototypes that replicate small, non-production modules from legacy SAS workflows (e.g., simple edit checks or summary routines) in Python/R, plus unit edits checks or summary routines.
Help understand and replicate small, simple modules from legacy SAS workflows using Python or R.
Write clear and well-documented code to ensure it is easy for others to read and maintain.
Create unit tests for the new Python or R code to ensure it works correctly and matches the output of the original SAS code.
Use synthetic or de-identified sample data to demonstrate that the new code produces the same results as the legacy code
Contribute to discussions on code modernization by providing detailed documentation and reference implementations.
