ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting engineering principals as related to various facility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc./other facility related trade); 2) Utilizing math for computations involving analysis and estimates of facility projects; 3) Ability to make relevant assumptions in order to develop Rough Order Magnitude costs for a variety of projects; 4) Managing sustainment activities to keep facilities in good working order and to track subsequent projects throughout project life, this includes ability to prepare requirement packages; 5) Responsible for customer interface. while using strong computer skills Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). You will manage the sustainment activities to keep facilities in good working order be establishing scheduled maintenance and repairs.
You will identify and develop restoration projects to restore facilities damaged by inadequate sustainment.
You will monitor work throughout the project life and ensure that records are maintained in the software system.
