You may qualify at the GS-GS-15 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Managing logistics operations, programs, or projects involving supply, maintenance, transportation, or distribution. Developing and implementing logistics policies and procedures. Analyzing logistics data and recommending improvements. Coordinating logistics support across multiple functional areas. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as a senior logistics management specialist, providing expert advice and guidance on logistics operations, planning, and policy. Develops, implements, and evaluates logistics programs and initiatives to support organizational objectives. Coordinates and integrates logistics support across multiple functional areas, including supply, maintenance, transportation, and distribution. Analyzes complex logistics issues, identifies solutions, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Represents the organization in high-level meetings, working groups, and interagency forums. Prepares and presents briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership. Oversees and mentors junior logistics staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
