You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-15, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Interpreting and implementing legislation, regulations, notices, and policies governing Community Planning and Development (CPD) grants and programs, AND - Developing recommendations for financial and grants management policy and instruction for CPD programs; AND - Providing technical assistance and guidance to grantees, contractors, and federal staff related to CPD grants and programs. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

The primary means toward this end is the development of partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector, including for-profit and non-profit organizations. As a/an Senior Confidential Assistant, you will: The incumbent serves as a Senior Advisor in CPD. In this capacity, the incumbent advises CPD leadership, including the Assistant Secretary, General Deputy Assistant Secretary, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary, with respect to CPD programs. The incumbent of this position has broad responsibilities in advising on the management of program progress for all aspects of CPD programs. Acts as a personal representative to CPD leadership, undertaking a wide variety of sensitive, controversial and high-profile assignments. Such duties may cross the functional and organizational boundaries and deal with the fullest range of issues and concerns of the CPD leadership and field offices.
