Deputy Director for Tax Audit Division

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Leading and directing tax audit teams to complete assignments, ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards and internal policies; AND Delivering audit results to senior leadership through clear and effective written and oral communication; AND Recommending or making changes to improve internal programs or activities. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Assistant Administrator - Field Operations - Tax Audit Division. As a Deputy Director for Tax Audit Division, you will: Manage all tax audit activities for the Bureau's excise tax audit program to include planning, developing, directing, coordinating, evaluating, and monitoring audit policies, programs, systems, and procedures. Provide leadership and direction to a group of highly technical professionals involved in federal excise tax auditing and the development of policy and standards in accordance with Treasury, OMB, and GAO requirements and guidance. Provide briefings and presentations to Senior Staff at TTB and Treasury on the results of tax audits completed.
